Did you know that 80 million Americans, that’s 1 in every 3 adults, have cardiovascular disease? Unfortunately, many of those people don’t realize they have the disease until it’s too late and they experience an “event.”
The Golfology fore Cardiology tournament is dedicated to providing ongoing funding for an innovative rehabilitation program at the University of Kansas Hospital’s Center for Advanced Heart Care. This program offers tools and techniques designed to motivate people to adopt long-term heart healthy behaviors, and most importantly, to reduce heart disease.
In the past two years, the G4C tournament has raised approximately $80,000 to establish and support a preventive vascular disease program focusing on diabetes, obesity, heart and vascular conditions The ultimate goal of the Center for Advance Heart Care, and the Golfology fore Cardiology tournament, is to stabilize, slow or even reverse the progression of cardiovascular disease in our community. Your support can help us make that goal a reality.
